Wanted to get in the woods and see what’s going on. Friday night it got cool and was 39 degrees Saturday morning. Around 8 o’clock I see deer about 100yds just walking across the field. About 8.30 I catch movement out in front of the blind. All I can see was ears coming through the high meadows out popped a big mature Doe she’s now 30yds broadside was thinking early meat for the freezer, then out of the high meadows a small yearling following mama. So I let them walk and go about their business. Yesterday evening was very quiet and slow as it warmed up. As sun was about down another Doe and two yearlings moving across the field. So got up the morning and opted to clean up the place a little. With all the construction going the place is in shambles. The lack of colder temperatures and very few nights with frost the ticks were definitely active. Both morning and evening sit came out and stripped down outside shacking off clothes. Will try again the end of the month plus have some more things to take care of up there.
