Woodford guy here. I keep hearing about this Jefferson Ocean. They take a bunch of barrels of their best bourbon load it onto a container ship and hit the same exact 20-30 ports. After that they bottle it and sell it. Supposedly each year has a different taste. I have yet to try it. Maybe this year I’ll pick some up.

I've seen that - sounds like a scam to me.........................

I would think aging at sea vs. aging on land makes no difference in taste but that's just me.

So did I. I have a coworker from Kentucky who buys it every year. He was basically raised at a distillery and he swears by it. He said that the waves change the way it ages and he definitely tastes a difference from year to year.

at the price point I've seen it at - those waves have a lot more work to do...................
