Was on the Superhawk fishing deep ocean wrecks yesterday with up to 20 ounces of lead ( Horrible full moon tide currents) in over 200 feet depths. I didn't need 20 ounces but I like to fish straight up and down with little or no scope. I was likely the high hook because I was holding bottom in the feeding zone the whole day. At those depths I could feel bergalls breathing on my hooks and had no trouble putting my gami hooks weighed down by 20 oz of lead through the brains of all the fish I harvested. 2 of the mates admired my new stick and I told them about Atlantic Custom. It is 7'4" UC AR751 blank and paired with my Maxel Ocean Max 8. The gorgeous wraps match the gun metal blue of my reel. The rod is the best stick I now own. Kudos to Captain Richie. Recommended oh yeah!
