Captain Neil

I spoke with Neil around 2 months ago and he was doing well. We were supposed to have lunch over the winter, but I have been so busy in the offseason that it simply got away from me.

Thanks for the reminder as I will have to give him a shout and make it up to him.

I spoke to him a few days ago. He sounded fine. The fact that we are all getting old is a challenge. Hoping to fish with him this season.

Good to hear, Al.

I know his heart is in the right place, but we have been trying to get a fishing trip together now for a couple of years and always seem to get cancelled by some tough weather.

As you know, Neil is also not fond of the really hot weather in the summer. Maybe we can get a "seniors only trip" set up for Porgies in the Peconics next month. Cooler weather, short run from the dock, no need for an early start, and always plenty of action for a few hours effort.

Let me "test the waters" with Neil tomorrow.

Spoke to Neil earlier today. He is busy with his grandchildren and woodworking shop. Please count me in if you put together a May Seniors trip. For me it's back to the shop to finish six rods for opening of the fluke season.
