Alright you knuckleheads, listen up! The fall run is knockin' on the door, and if you're not out there fishin', you're missin' out. The harbor is alive, the rivers are electric, and the fish are hungry. Let's get down to brass tacks.

The Harbor is Hoppin'

The bass are here, and they're not shy. We're seeing a good push of fish in the harbor, with some real cows mixed in. The action has been hot and heavy from the Verrazano all the way up to the George Washington Bridge. The key has been finding the bunker schools. If you can find the bait, you'll find the bass. Live-lining has been the most productive method, but the trollers are also getting their fair share. The fish are hungry, so don't be afraid to throw the kitchen sink at them.

East River Express

The East River is living up to its name, with a steady stream of bass moving through. The action has been best on the moving tides, so time your trips accordingly. The piers and bridges are producing, so you don't need a boat to get in on the action. Just find a spot with some current, and you'll be in business. The fish are hitting a variety of lures, so don't be afraid to experiment. The key is to get your offering in front of their noses.

Hudson River Hustle

The Hudson is also seeing its fair share of action, with bass being caught from the Battery all the way up to Haverstraw. The fish are a little more spread out in the river, so you'll have to do some searching. But if you put in the time, you'll be rewarded. The channel edges and drop-offs are good places to start. The fish are feeding on a variety of baits, so be prepared to switch things up.

Tog Time

Don't forget about the blackfish. The season is open, and the bite has been solid. The local reefs and wrecks are holding some nice fish, so it's a great option when the bass are being finicky. It's a great way to put some meat in the freezer and have a little fun in the process.

The Weekend Word

The weekend is looking good, with light winds and calm seas. Saturday is the day to be on the water. So, get your gear ready, get your crew together, and get out there. The fish are waiting. Now go get 'em!

Stay safe,
Captain Tony
