Capt Mike had posted he had one open spot for yesterday to run out to Montauk for some fluke. Well since I agreed to take the last spot I had been watching the wind forecast leading up to Tuesday night. Knowing it was probably going to be much to make that run, I got the phone call from Capt Mike Tuesday evening. He suggested we try for some sea bass instead and boy were we not disappointed. From the first drop it was lock and load, with multiple doubles coming up. It was the best sea bass trip I had, some really nice biscuits landed on the deck. We had some porgies in the mix as well and I only kept one for the BBQ to give my try at grilling one. Looking forward to my 2 (hopefully 3) tog trips I have scheduled with him.

Sounds like a great trip and some tasty eats!
