celtic quest vandalized

Someone who didn't want the boat back in Mattituck, although no other boats are in the area. Both Capt. Bob boats are gone.

So sorry to hear this......Karma always plays out in time for those involved.
I so want to believe that, but there's a lot of scumbags that seem to live forever.

I fished with Desi on his first boat on our first noreast.com charter. All of the legends were on that boat. John Skinner, Alberto, Kilsong, Me :) and my brother, who fished for about an hour and won the pool, just to name a few.

Desi has always run a fine operation and he is forward thinking in both the business and his views on fisheries. If there's one guy that didn't deserve this to happen it's him. But he is a survivor and he will thrive just as he has from the start.

I do hope they catch the bastards though.

A crappy thing to happen to anyone, but I've fished with these guys and my son when he was younger before I bought my boat, and they're one of the nicest and most helpful crews around. I wish them the best of luck, and hope the jackass that pulled this gets what's coming to him.

Too bad we don't live in a world where when the police find this piece of chit, they can't just turn him over to Desi & his crew. Haven't fished with Desi for a long time, since back in the day when he was running one of the Viking winter cod fishing boats out of Montauk. He could find the fish.

Yes, Lots of history with Capt Desi there. He and I both had boats in Mt. Sinai Hbr in the late 80's. Always a gentleman and he not deserving of this BS by low life competitive aholes.
