Had to retire "Old Betsy", my 5 1/2 year old Keurig K155. Her pump was moaning like a demon, taking a long time to get water pumped through. I had a new one waiting on deck pending her imminent demise, fired her up and am enjoying a nice cup right now, delivered with 1/4 the noise and time involved...

Been using Keurigs for a least 10 years now and have learned the following.'

  1. Keurig consumer brewers only last 14 months w/a 1-year warranty.

  2. Cuisinart K-Cup brewers last 2-4 years, but with a 3-year warranty, you usually get 1 freebie

  3. Keurig commercial brewers last well over the 1-year warranty period, in our case 5.5 years so the extra $ are amortized over the longer time, making them the better buy. They also let you adjust the temp up to 198 °F for that really hot cup of coffee.
