Got a text then a call at 2am from four on leave desperately asking how to work this Moka Pot. We figured out how to get it to work but not how to make anything but mud. Has anyone any experience with this European percolator knock off to make good coffee.

Looks like an electric version of the old Espresso makers my family used to have. They are designed for making mud, e.g. proper Italian Café, espresso, and work best with espresso grind and roasted coffee.

So I do like my coffee with a splash of buca in it. Our plan yesterday was to take the ferry over to CT in the Am to CT so I got my flask ready to load with some buca for the coffee/ride over but the ferry was booked so I scrapped the flask idea About 4.40 pm my buddy pulls us into a gas station says hes in the mood for a coffee DAMM so was I, I get off the bike ranting and telling my story about the left behind flask @Chevy1 points, look theres a liquor store night next door WAALAA My buca problem was solved that was a good cup of coffee

Speaking of buca, has anyone noticed that K-cups that are very old don't work. They get so clogged that nothing goes though them. I noticed this with my last few cartridges of Café Bustelo when I was in desperate need of a B&B, Buca and Bustelo...

I buy mine 80 at a time go thru maybe 10 a week never had a problem two different machines
I'll go for weeks and not drink it so mine can be over a year old. I've also noticed with other K-cups, especially hot cocoa, that were years old, that we inherited from my SIL 8 years ago. Bustelo, along with Dunkin Donuts, are the only coffees that do this...

Thanks I thought the same but is actually a standard coffee maker for around Poland I’m hearing now. They come standard when renting an apartment. Coffee was supplied also. Told them to just go with 3 tsp per 10 oz cup as it makes two. They said it was light and sweet.

Have to remember that Europeans consider normal American Coffee to be tepid dishwater. Espresso is coffee to them. By cutting the amount of coffee, you did exactly that.
