Coney Island

Went out this afternoon to try and see if I could locate some fluke. Had some buddies out earlier in the day reporting poor fishing overall in the inlet, and after giving some local spots a try and not getting much I decided i'd check out the Coney island area. Found much better action there around the pier, although the vast majority of fish were short, i did manage one keeper at 19". Overall, decent quantity, low quality. Couple blues in the mix kept things interesting.

By this time last year i had multiple fluke over 5+ lbs, i suppose this year its just not happening.
Looking forward to the porgy bite soon
