Congrats to PP ..............

PP was called "Schwatz " or "Schwartzie " by a certain Capts on the radio .... Both sailed from the Bronx , any guesses who they might have been ?
I'll post within 24 hours .........

Capts Dominic Cebone and Ed Berlin , both called PP ' Schwartz ' back when channel 88 was strictly used by the Partyboats .............
Us less established guys ALWAYS called him PP , It was a respect thing .................

I have fished on the Klondike for 40 plus years and even spend a couple of years working her deck. Pete was driven like no one else and his customers loved it. There would be 40 people lined up to board the boat at 515 when the mates showed you to open the gates and often we'd leave by 630 cause we were already raiked. Back in the early 80s there were a couple of years when the blessings never came west and we'd steam from New Rochelle and our first deift would be off Matrituck getting back to the docks as the sun set or even later. I've been fortunate to be able to call several members of the Pearson family as my friends. However, there will still be A Pearaon influence as I believe Peter will still be running some trips and his daughter Jess will be working deck.

When nasty weather hit , PP would often send Gary aka 'Stormy Weather " out for the day ........

Any given weekend a pack of up to 50 little boats would follow PP around as he hunted the reefs for a reading .....
He oft got locked in as the 'little " boats surrounded him after he caught a few fish ...
One particular day after numerous encounters with the 'little' boats , he got pissed and circled the fleet at half throttle throwing the biggest wake he could ...... That day was a bit out of character as Pete was usually very generous with his knowledge and his time .....
