Construction Dock After the Rain and Wantagh Park

Went down to the construction dock after the rain just about noon. Had something I wanted to try blackfishing. Wanted to try and Float rig with a gulp crab, almost like a dropper rig. Hoping to keep the gulp crab, just above the rocks and stay out of the snags. Think It would have worked except, 1oz was to heavy for the bobber, got stuck and lost my rig in the rocks - So no blackfish - Boo Hoo!

Switch to my other pole and tried for those stripers. threw a White Bucktail, a gulp grub and a black slug-go. Nothing not even a bite.

a Quick trip to blackfish prospect at Wantagh park...but nothing along the wall, or out by the green buoy and nothing in the rocks....

Most times knowing where the fish aren't will always lead you to where the fish are.

Hint, hint.... spring tog act and feed differently than fall tog.
