Cooking with an Air Fryer..

SWMBO got a new LG gas stove and it has an air fryer capability, which we used when we cooked both tater tots in it and fluke in the Paula Deen. I don't recommend an $800 puchase as a backup for a Paula Dean, lol, but it did the job and we didn't have to keep one warm while cooking the other. Best of all we got a gas appliance before the Albany witch could get involved.

When it comes to Air Fryers for me it's simplicity. I want to cook and clean easily. I have two air fryers on my counter. One for meat/fish and the other for sides. I also use the second one for over flow. If I get B&E thighs, there are too many to fit in one air fryer and I don't want to sit around and cook a second batch. I got the Cosori 5 quart and 6 quart off Amazon. They are inexpensive and very easy to clean.

Quite annoyed the chart from FB did not include reheating pizza as the air fryer is a Godsend for that !
The Best. I nuke mine for 1-2 minutes if frozen and then air fry. I also put stale chips in my air fryer. Might not bring every type of chip back to a crunch but many are crunchy again and at the price of chips today, I hate tossing them for being stale. Some even taste better with toasting.

From the chart above, I think a lot of those times are too long at least for my air fryer. Chicken thighs and tenders in mine take 12 minutes tops for a full load. With that said, my thighs are boneless and I have to preheat for four minutes before putting food in. The boneless thighs cook like the tenders.

I agree, the chart times are all about 10% longer than we do, but just like our new gas stove cooked a turkey a little faster than our old gas stove, stuff varies.

I crisp them up in Airfryer then add sauce after they are done but either way works
Same, get them crispy and then add sauce. But do not pour the sauce on the wings. Pour the sauce around the wings in the bowl and then toss. All wings will them have an even coating and remain crispy.

While waiting for my ribs to cook on the smoker, I made a air fryer grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. The air fryer does a great job making these. I build it and drizzle a little olive oil on both sides and cook for 5 minutes on the first side at 390 and then flip for an additional 3 minutes. Your time, of course, may vary. If I had ham, I usually toss a piece or two in the middle of the cheese with the tomato.

Instant Pot Vortex? I just got one from my sister. Nice machine.

I read that a few years ago. It's now a stand alone company after shedding Corelle and Pyrex. Seems like they will be capitalized and hopefully get back on their feet. I just used mine yesterday for artichokes and a really nice codfish chowder.
