Harbes out East has the sweetest corn I ever had,it’s like eating candy..
I am a huge Corn lover and I agree that Harbes is easily the best corn on the planet! Just heat and eat, don't even need butter, unless you really crave it. One suggestion. I have lived in this area and enjoyed Harbes corn for well over 25 years. Even at this great farm I find it is best to enjoy the harvest up to about the 3rd week of August. Beyond that the kernels get too large and the amount of starch present starts to dilute the sweetness found in the earlier stuff.

Agreed, first week in august is the peek, years back we were doing a job out there so I grabbed some for the guys,we ate it raw and they were like no way, they must soak this stuff in sugar, that’s how sweet and juicy it was..lol

I agree with Capt Mike that the local east end LI corn is deliciously sweet straight up and needs no butter or anything
I'm also pretty convinced that most of what is grown out here originates from seed from the LI cauliflower association in Riverhead so the batch is similar at many farms and stands. So far, what we've gotten this year has been awesome!!!

When I'm smoking ribs or turkey legs on the grill - I put them in for the last 15 minutes or so. Lay them right on the grill next to the meat. Soak 'em for an hour first so the husks don't burn.

They pick up some of the smoke flavoring.
