Creek

longcast

Well-Known Angler
Was able to sneak out last night to another creek in the bay for a couple hours. Got in the water and it was slack. No movement at all. But once the slightest outgoing movement was detected, the show began. Bait was being pushed, swirls etc. It was all around me, and once behind me! Quick casts in all directions came up empty. Frustration is now setting in, but kept at it. Finally, I "feel" the plug "pushed" towards me, not the typical hit. I set and this little bugger comes up. Picture is a bit funny, as my phone flash was in the off position. After this one, dropped down to small 1/4 oz jig with small pink sluggo's, 1/2 oz white bucktail with a 4 inch white grub, etc. Not a touch. It became quiet around me, but could still hear them as they went with the tide. And that was it. Fun to be out and treated to an amazing show! I suspect most of what I saw were weakfish feeding. No blues, no bass.
