Daylight savings time

Mixed feelings. Surfcasting in the fall, I like the early sunset. But deer hunting in the fall, the morning light starts way too early for me and I don't like the idea of field dressing a deer at sundown ! (Stripers are easy.)

I'm very confused, especially when the folks bickering about the goods/evils of DST are retired so they have no schedule issues, e.g. work.

I prefer DST because I'm a morning person so I appreciate more light in the evening so I don't start falling asleep way too early.

Regardless, it's the tides that drive my "time" decisions more than anything else. The Admiral doesn't understand when I say, "I'd like to go fishing this afternoon at 3:00. If that doesn't work for you, no problem, I'll fish tomorrow."
"Can't you wait until 4:30?"
"Nope, unless you can find a way to delay the tide by 90 min?"
"There's a difference?"
"OY!!!!"

In case you are wondering what I'm talking about. It was your "smart guy " comment then your "whatever the case..." next time just accept that you were wrong and don't give any smart ass comment directed towards me, then try and garner sympathy by calling me nasty.

Me too. Sometimes it's rough getting to my stand before first light. Especially when it takes 35 min walking, up hill mostly. Don't want to sweat too much.

it’s 4:30, dark already and it not even December... cellie...

The short days always sucked but this pandemic feels like it's made it worse.
Funny thing is that starting yesterday, even though the length of daylight continues to decrease until the Solstice, Sunset time up here is starting to get later. Yesterday's sunset was 4 seconds later than Tuesday's!!
