Got out to catch the last of the incoming at about 0715 and while breezy, managed a 16" fluke again and a diminutive bird, way to small to try some of the recipes for them I see being posted. By 9 AM, and at slack the north side of the bay went white caps with foot high rollers. Common sense dictated I leave forthwith and help the better half with her morning eye drops for the cataract procedure. Still fighting with sea lettuce and some slip gut, and with the full moon coming I guess it will get worse. Only saw two boats and a couple kayaking. Probably wondering at first why I was returning up the creek, I looked back to see that they quickly turned around to stay in the canals, lol. Forecast sounds like Thursday -Friday will have calm winds. Can't recall who it was on the site, but they had advised the wind wouldn't exceed 10 kts this week. I will stick to the Windy.com app and now a new one, thanks to Roccus7, PredictWind.com. Saturday may be a blowout.

Bad luck for sure. Today was the first day in probably 2 weeks that we've had a sustained light wind, still under 10 kts out there right now. Usually come 09:00, someone turns on the wind fan. Yesterday was a real hoot. Was blowing > 15 kts out of the NW, died for like 10 min, and then came roaring back from the SW > 20 kts.

The tide was too low to tie up at my dock so I had to go to the HOA dock which has the classic Maine situation of no cleats, just toe rails. You should have seen my dock guy's face when I said, "Look, on my float NO toe rails and I want cushions all around!" You would have thought I was from Alpha Centauri...

Took every bit of my strength and nautical expertise to get tied up. Hell, I could barely get the anchor to hold in 4' of water prior, just to get the boat squared away for tying up.

Just started raining here but tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be calmer, wind-wise. Antifa may pillage and plunder but the wind will die down...
