DMV

So my boy turned 16 on Monday and today I'm taking him to DMV to get his learners permit.
In light of the current situation and horror stories we went on line a couple of weeks ago and scheduled an appt.

Has anybody successfully made it in and out of DMV lately with a scheduled appointment??
Just trying to brace myself for a nightmare.

I'm not looking for a debate on the Green Light law or any of that crap
Just want to hear from anybody with first hand experience of a recent DMV visit

Made one when I renewed my license went in and bacically went too the front f the line after that was normaal DMV BS

I was at the DMV in Riverhead for regs, plates and title accouple of weeks back....took a little over an hour.

“It was agonizing and extremely frustrating,” said Tony Monteleone, an executive with a business-to-business website who spent seven hours at a motor vehicle office in Manhattan to obtain a Real ID license. “I was on vacation. At one point I said to myself, ‘How long could it take?’ Who knew that it was going to take all day?”

While acknowledging that wait times at motor vehicle offices have increased as a result of the new licenses, state officials were unable to provide precise figures. But many applicants have complained of hourslong waits with some having left offices exasperated and with no license.

Good thing horse &Buggys dont have to bee registered or that place would be mobbed ?

So far so good. Got in and on line and the appt helped. He’s taking the test now

Got 20 out of 20 right for a score of 100%??
Was out the door and back in the car by 11:30??
