Do-It 2, 3, and 4 ounce mold

You might want to think about a longer-shanked hook If the intention is to use a 6 inch scrub on the back of that head.

While waiting for air valve adjusters and powder paint, I made up my fluid beds. I will be using four different colors and it's much easier to use individual fluid beds and cover them when done. They are very easy to make out of 2" PVC pipe, couplings, and end caps. The only gluing is the one-end cap. I like having them in a stable holder to prevent knocking one over. Ask me how I know. Oh, and don't do this on the dining room table. You will get caught because when not if, you knock one over. The powder paint goes everywhere including grout lines or wood floor seems or worst of all carpet. The whole secret to a fluid bed is the newspaper inside the pipe. (last photo). That along with an air valve and air pump floats the powder for a top-shelf coating. If you just dip into a powder paint canister without a fluid bed, it will work but you get too much powder and it's not evenly coated along with nose drips. When coated, place in the toaster oven at 325 degrees for 30 minutes when your wife is shopping. Don't let them touch and don't cook them before making sure the attachment eye is cleaned.

I like the wire you are using. Looks stouter than the screw eyes I messed with.
I use 1/16" 308L stainless tig welding wire. Back in the day, I turned plugs. I always used this type of through wire and never had a problem with bass to 50lbs. as they thrashed it around.

The photo below is the basic bend I was able to come up with after a few tries. When encased in lead, it's very strong. There will not be a failure due to the wire with the type of fishing planned. Even using 50-pound test mono, the line will fail before the wire. I only use 20lb. braid while fluke fishing.

The photo below was my first through wire bending attempts. It got better with each bend. Once streamlined, the wire now runs very straight through the center of the jig.

Thanks Lep. Well HH, I tested my plugs in the past with 50lb mono to see if the through wire would hold at both the belly and tail hook. They held with no distortion. The failure occurred at the split eye of the hook Today, I tested a jig head a few times. I tied both top and tail eyes with 60lb mono. I then attached both ends of the mono to a nylon rope attached to my truck and trailer. I very slowly stretched the mono until failure. As shown below, there wasn’t any distortion or failure of the jig head through wire.

I was experimenting with mine by using two separate screw eyes that were not connected through the jig mold and that was the reason that mine were "fragile". No doubt that you could stop a freight train with your design, excellent job!
