Do they think we're idiots!

Has anyone seen the necropsy results on any of these whales? The silence is "deafening"...
People in our own government were complicit in killing a sitting President then our government covered it up for 60 years. Fudging a whale’s necropsy to suit their needs is a walk in the park for them.

who is really behind it all ? It’s the little green men from the UFO base in Roswell ! Yeah , that’s the ticket. Good God Allmighty ! Just found another to “ignore.”

Sure glad there’s enough of us “Mentalists” out there paying attention to stuff like this thats happening and actually care about the environment

This is the earliest in the season Ive ever seen the toxin levels so high locally to shut down the bay for shellfishing
Scary scary stuff for those of us who actively harvest clams and shellfish locally

WTF is gonna happen once the water warms up? Im proud to have the brownest unfertilized lawn in my neighborhood and NOT be contributing excessive Nitrogen that way

My zoysia is still brown. I haven’t used herbicides, grubicides, fertilizers or fungicides in decades and it only needs water once or twice all summer. No polluting our aquifers by me! I don’t have to hire illegals to mow either as zoysia grows slower.

But is it the use of leaching cesspools and no sewers in most of Suffolk or commercial farming? grumman?

Trump Administration Halts Offshore Wind Project Near Long Beach

In a bold move to protect our ocean resources and coastal communities, the Trump administration has ordered an immediate stop to construction on the Empire Wind offshore wind project, located roughly 14 miles off Long Island near Jones Beach.

The project, led by foreign energy giant Equinor, was set to install 54 massive turbines in the middle of vital marine habitat and heavily-used fishing grounds. Despite being fast-tracked under the previous administration, the Trump team is hitting pause, citing rushed approvals and the need for deeper review—especially regarding environmental and economic impacts.

This decision is a win for those concerned about marine life, commercial and recreational fishing, and the long-term health of our coastal waters. With all new offshore wind leases frozen and existing ones under review, this move signals a serious, science-first approach to managing our ocean space.

George, in all due respect, you are the last person I want to contradict or openly disagree with 😎
However, to suggest that the Trump administration did this because of their concern for the ocean, marine life, or the environment in general is downright comical and flat out absurd 🤣🤣🤣
Any administration that appoints a totally unqualified guy with no science background as the head of the EPA in order to slash 65% of the budget could care less about the environment
The shutting down of the windfarms is solely to protect the oil industry and squash alternative energy any way he can so he can profit from it
If tomorrow they found out that there was a massive plume of oil in the same spot they would take the blueprints and plans for the windfarm and convert them to an oil production facility and drill the exact same spots without hesitation and ZERO concern for the whales, marine life and environment

If you flip your post around and had a Democrat in office, you would see alternative agendas pushed hard while any oil permits or pipelines would be halted. Do you think Dems are so concerned with the environment? (See whale deaths)

The end game is each party is married to their biggest benefactors.

Want to rant?

Rant about health insurance and the cost of medical care in this country because neither party gives a rats ass about it!

I don’t disagree and I don’t need to rant
I said what I wanted to and made my point
I dont disagree or have an issue with what you said. You’re right
If anybody wants to be happy the windmill project is on hold thats fine and understandable
Just dont in any way shape or form equate the hold with the current administrations overwhelming love and concern for the environment

Absolutely. Finally some common sense prevails.

A review by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) appears to back up the Trump administration’s concerns.

The agency found the Empire Wind approval process relied on rushed, outdated and incomplete scientific and environmental analysis, leading to project leaders making decisions not based on the best available information.

The NOAA said that "monitoring plans to assess project effects on fisheries and habitat resources were inadequate, and existing compensation mechanisms fell short due to flawed scientific methodologies."

Ultimately, these deficiencies "limited the ability to avoid and minimize conflicts between development and marine resources at both stages."

The result was that several sensitive habitats, spawning grounds, and important regional commercial and recreational fishing areas were included within the wind farm area.

"Critical areas that support commercial and recreational fisheries were not excluded from leasing, and proposals that emphasized maximum development scenarios further restricted opportunities to reduce impacts on fisheries and important habitats," the NOAA’s study found.

In total, approximately 139 acres of seabed would have been permanently altered by wind turbine generators and equipment and an additional 1,554 acres would have been altered by the installation of a submarine cable connecting the turbines to the land.

Additionally, the project did not account for new information about adverse construction impacts of other ocean wind farms, such as the catastrophic turbine blade failures that occurred in 2024 at another Biden wind farm off the coast of Massachusetts, as well as problems with persistent fish kills associated with the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project.

well, Fox News has never had much to say good about President Alzheimer. (nor should anyone, lol.) I would like to see this same article in the NYT or WSJ.

Frustrating to say the least.......I regularly attended codfish meetings in the 90s. In the room were owners of some of the top boats on the east coast who all shared what they were seeing and sounded the alarm. Here we are now.

As we look forward to the inevitable battle over striped bass regulations, I cant help but think this is dejavu. Any regulatory action will be a day late and ..........you know the rest......
