Do they think we're idiots!

Lots of trouble in Fantasyland....

Some brilliant strategy got these folks into power. Knew all those empty promises were just that. At least we know how easy it is to fool a large piece of the population................and the media.

The world's largest offshore wind developer on Wednesday said it had halted plans for two U.S. wind farms and that related impairments had surged above $5 billion, sending its share price down 26% to a six-year low.

A true No Shit Sherlock Epiphany:

David Hardy, group executive vice president and CEO of Americas at Ørsted, said it’s crucial to lower the levelized cost of offshore wind in the United States so Americans aren’t debating between affordability and clean energy. Hardy spoke at the American Clean Power industry group’s offshore wind conference in Boston last month...

“We’re probably a little bit too ambitious,” he said. “We came in hot, we came in fast, we thought we could build inexpensive projects, large projects right out of the gate. And it turns out that we probably still need to go through the same learning curve that Europe did, with higher prices in the beginning and a little slower pace.”

It amazes me that that's no mention of the damages that were done, the money that was wasted, and the disaster for our oceans. Now they have to convince us to spend more money for something that will never work. The sad part is, they will find that money - our money.

Ørsted admitted to having to write off $4 billion on this debacle, and it's been positioned up to now, as them holding the bag. That's why their stock price has tanked.

We'll see if the come back with their hands out. The good news is that being a foreign entity, there will be much more reluctance for us to help them out, just like the cruise lines during COVID.

Been saying it for a while.

Sick left radical climate activists. It needs to change. Tired of folks wasting the money I earn and cannot use to take care of my family. It truly is thievery.

Where does this leave all the jobs that were promised?

All the land leases that will be broken?

This has a trickle down effect that will have anyone question these projects in the future.

This administration has some track record for backing the wrong horses!

The folks who picked this administration picked the wrong horses. There are no jobs. There are no opportunities. All smoke and mirrors.

Wind farming taking serious hits!

None of this is any kind of surprise to anybody that has even a basic understanding of how electricity is made and distributed. Yet all the politicians and advocates are shocked that their fantasies can't be commuted into reality.

Our education system needs to spend a little less time focusing on race and gender identity and a little more time on science and math. You know, physics, thermodynamics, actual civics (not activist civics) and how to balance a checkbook.

Wind farming taking serious hits!

For those unfamiliar with industry jargon, the term “OREC adjustment” refers to Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Certificates, a classic green cost-shifting scheme in which local, state or the federal government pays wind developers an agreed-upon fee for each megawatt of power they build and deliver in locations favored by those governments. Those fees end up being worked into the utility rates paid by electricity consumers as part of an array of hidden charges on their monthly bills.
