Yes, certifiable.
Sort of like many of the millenials ....... absolutely clueless in many respects. Reminds me of Timothy Treadwell.

Clueless, dumb and stupid. I wouldn’t be near that thing. I had one come up under my 25 Grady back in the 90’s. I realized it when my bow started swinging. It was literally pushing my boat. Scared the crap out of me.

Lots of Darwin Award potential there, hopping in the water with an apex predator. One can only hope that "Deep Blue" has a pregnancy craving for humans, wheels around and swallows somebody whole while the cameras are running!!

Back 'in the day', I might have done something like that. I did once swim through a chum slick while shark fishing on a bet.

The shark was feeding off a dead whale so it's full. They are not really aggressive towards people are two of the thing I could see me telling myself...right as Deep Blue cut me in half!o_O

The big white that Donny Braddock and Frank Mundus caught off of Montauk was also feeding on a dead whale. There are even pictures around showing Donny standing on the whale. Did seem to stop that shark from taking a bait!

Hawaii: DLNR Cautions Divers to Stay Clear of Whale Carcass Due to Sharks
(Honolulu) – The decomposing carcass of a sperm whale, at last report, has moved to a location about eight miles south of Pearl Harbor. This despite it being towed 15-miles off shore after it landed last week on the reef adjacent to the Sand Island Recreation Area.
A photo, making the rounds yesterday, shows a great white shark swimming around the carcass. Tiger sharks have been spotted, almost continuously, feeding on the whale. DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE) Chief Jason Redulla said, “We’re asking people to stay out of the water around this carcass. We don’t want anyone to get hurt if a shark swimming around the carcass mistakes them as food. Understandably, some people want to get into the water either out of fascination or to get photographs, but it is truly dangerous to be around this carcass with so much shark activity.”
There are reports that people are even climbing on top of the whale and removing its teeth. Taking of a marine mammal’s remains may be against both state and federal laws.
Experts tracking the movement of the carcass note that it is currently headed off-shore, but southwesterly winds predicted over the next few days, could once again push it closer to shore or even back onto land.

Didn't they carve off a slab of that whale and use it for the bait that caught the shark??? In the 60s Mundus would legally harpoon a pilot whale and grind it up for chum. During those days he was the GW king.

That story made the rounds at the time, but Frank denied it.
