Don't get an unexpected surprise-a ticket upon your return to the boat ramp

Reregister your trailer. You can do it on line via the NY State DMV website

I go a ticket many years ago too. Its an easy ticket to write. Nobody to argue with you. Just and empty trailer and truck.
But can't complain too much as keeping your registration currect is a requirement.

Every year I renew the boat trailer when the papers from the DMV come in Dec. What is the advantage waiting till spring?

In NY STATE trailer registrations are Pro Rated. If you wait till April 1 like I do, you only pay for April to December

Yearly up here, and really inexpensive, $24 for 2 years. My registration goes for 12 months, not per calendar year...

NY State is very expensive for boat trailer registrations

My old trailer was registered in Maine, 5 years was less than $100

When I registered in Maine I did it through the mail with one Maine agents I found on line
