EAR BUDS, here’s a one in a +million episode.. possibly more than..
at our Hotel in Bar Harbor, Maine,
the Atlantic Oceanside:
in our bathroom , the attractive solidly built vanity, the bottom shelf, there is a 1-2 inch small space between the wall and shelf not big enough for my hand, leading to its very sturdy enclosed bottom 2.5 inches deep.
my wife michelle using the bathroom, dropped her ear bud onto the shelf not knowing the bud fell between the 1-2 inch space, under the shelf onto the bath floor into the enclosure.
michelle, trying to understand where did it go.? as it had taken 15 minutes for her to realize it had dropped from behind the vanity onto the floor, out of view.
she called me for help, I couldn’t believe the chance of this bud dropping to where it could be, my usual questions came up…
at first attempt my fingers weren’t good enough, so i said in the morning i may have some tools in the car for this.
again, I was having a hard time understanding how could this happen.?
since im not a good sleeper and my most creative ideas pop up at 3 AM, i thought my telescopic magnet was the best option, excluding hammers and screwdrivers. lol..
in the morning, i asked michelle, let me test her other bud to see if it had any ferrous metal within, fortunately it did.
so with this magnet, i was able to get under the bottom shelf, into the enclosed space and made a few sweeps from left to right as i called out “ I GOT IT “
wow, michelle looked at the bud bewildered, realizing after 10 minutes this bud was someone’s else piece, hahaha

ready for another sweep, this time around michelle had her music tuned up, as i could easily hear her bud was gold.
so i gave another swipe with this trusty magnetic tool, gratefully i was able to snag michelle’s bud in a unbelievable one in a million episode.
if i had hooked michelle’s bud first, we would have never known of the other bud was lost from another bathroom patron.
oh yes, found a quarter coin behind vanity leg. MacGyver would be proud…
