Got out last Saturday and again yesterday for the top of the flood and beginning of the ebb in the Moses, FI inlet areas. Schoolie bass are now starting to make a showing along the rips and off sand bars. Been casting small soft plastics, swimming plugs and poppers. Took a ride outside to the west both trips during slack in search of life and found nada from 30-55ft, ran as far as the Jones reef. Tried fluking the outgoing both trips with only 3 short fluke for about 3 hours of fishing... think we gotta wait a little while longer for more fluke to show. All were within 10-15ft. Wondering if anyone on here has been doing better with fluke in that area?
Hopefully we get some sunny days to kick start things a bit more. Nice to be out enjoying the water again in any case. Tight lines.
