W.H.O. declares in some central African countries Ebola a “Public Emergency of International Concern” with 600 suspected cases, and 139 suspected deaths. With the incubation period prior to symptoms showing anywhere from 2-21 days cases are expected to rise.

C.D.C. Invokes public health law restricting entry into the U.S.

Despite the emergency designation the global risk to the general public outside of the affected region is currently considered very low.
