Looks like you could just light it all right there and have a killer bonfire

Yeah, it would kill my garage.

And I'm not moving it out into the yard to burn. If the fire department has to come here to put out another fire in my yard I might end up on some kind of list.

Had a tree service drop off some big boys. Ran to Tractor Supply for a bigger saw don't think my 20 yr old Husky 350 would be quite up to this challenge.

my firewood guy John’s duel services was a great firewood supplier for years. They no longer sell firewood ….gotta find a new guy

I always scoured CL and FB weekly for free wood when I lived on LI. Was always able to secure enough wood for each season. Sometimes very hit and miss.

Yep, another for us too. Maybe one or two more nights then mild weather next week.

So on Sunday after the 4th of July storm
I found a landscape crew cleaning up 3 very large oaks that came down close by
I took one load in my trailer and they told me to come back Tuesday morning
By time I got there at 10 they already had the big truck loaded and said what’s your address?
An hour later I got this to deal with

Motivated by the expected insane price of home heating oil this season, I spent the day starting to split whats in the previous picture. With what I have already split from last year and what I’ve split so far this year, I’m now up to about 4 cords. Prolly have 3+ worth on hand to split.

Like I said why worry about the price of home heating oil when burning fire wood is what you normally do? Unless there was an hidden motive in your post?

I was being straight forward and to the point
Home heating oil is gonna be expensive as shit this winter
Glad I can save some $$ burning wood
