Crazy day at work today
Dragged the splitter out at 5pm to take out some frustration and topped off the last stack I was working on....
Got about 6-1/2 - 7 cords.
All storage areas are ful
Now I'm in full fledge gathering mode to be able to split and refill the areas as I burn them thru the winter

There is definitely something exhilarating about splitting wood. In my younger days, I loved splitting it with the old maul when taking a break from school work. Now I use a splitter, but still get that mind clearing effect...

Its still 65 in the house now with no heat
Prolly gonna be cold in house in morning so i’ll lite it by then

Lit the stove this morning
Temp in house on hallway thermostat closest to stove went from 61 up to 70 in about an hour and a half ?

been burning since 10 this morning - chilly day down here forcing the heat to come on even though it's set at 55 - temperature never got out of the high 30's - cold for this time of year -and windy as all get out - back into high 60's later in the week
