Pine - creosote build up in the chimneyIt rules out using scraps of cut lumber for kindling
Good way to look at it jack?Years ago i had a guy who delivered that dry kiln wood on a few pallets every year but i started to burn more and now just season myself wit ha local tree guy who gives me twice as much for more than half the price.

Nice storage bin!pretty much ready for the season - just finished splitting & stacking the last load I got delievered...
2 cords in the shed (1 cord each side) - should get me into February - I'll need another 1/2 cord to make it into late March at which point it's pretty much over down here - put a new metal roof over the shed during the summer - the plywood/shingeled one gave up its ghost after 8 years
now 1st beer, shower then dinner & all that that entails.......................

YowzaMy land clearing guy left me two dozen oak trees from the lot I had cleared. It surprised me how big they looked once they were down. I'll be busy this winter.
Fortunately it's out of the way. I've taken 2 weeks off during the holidays to recover from all the uhaul trips between NY and VA over the past two months. The cutting starts next week and while it's hard work cutting and splitting (by hand) it's my kind of therapy. Happy New Year!Yowza
Thats alotta cutting before you can split?
I hope its not blocking the spot you’re building on?
That looks like a year or 2 of work???
