So I checked it out and found a crew dropping a bunch of BIG Oaks and came home with a trailer full
Was literally walking distance from home.
They are coming back tomorrow to drop 4 more so I know what I'm doing tomorrow:cool:

You Sir are amazing with scoring fire wood.

I may want to get into this. I think. It might be fun.

The hauling could be a workout but the cutting and splitting may be fun. I have a decent size yard for doing it and may start off as a small operation.

I’ll do some hunting around next week and check on best way to do some cutting and splitting.

Sorry for the delayed response. Woke up yesterday and unloaded the trailer and then went and got 2 more. The guys that dropped the trees helped me load up but not all was cut to log length so I had a full day unloading cutting and splitting

I'm going to be burning more wood ! I'm in the middle of installing a New Englander 30 in my detached garaged. I originally put an electric blower heater in but I want to spend more time out there this winter and I really hate paying for the electric.

I'm going to be burning more wood ! I'm in the middle of installing a New Englander 30 in my detached garaged. I originally put an electric blower heater in but I want to spend more time out there this winter and I really hate paying for the electric.

Wish I had a fire place. I’d like to put a woodburning stove in my sunroom, but have no clue where to even start.

Planning my retirement house it will have a fireplace with an insert. No more stove I want a cleaner look. Will also have a geo-thermal heat pump for when the insert needs help.

An insert is what I actual have. Got a hearthstone Clydesdale. Very happy with it

I have a Hearthstone as well. I have the Shelburne stove and I like you am very happy with it.

why not a free standing stove? Believe they throw more heat into the house?

I think initially your right they will warm the room they are in quicker but for overall heating of a home I believe an insert is best (could be wrong). I'm burning wood and oil today.
