Fluke fishing inside Jones Inlet

Fished today by the Construction dock for Fluke, immediatly caught 2 short Fluke about 17 inchs and for the next 3 hours we caught one small seabass after another. Use Gulp because the Seabass will eat up all your Squid. There's a million little Seabass on the bottom, some were 8 inchs. It was the middle of outgoing when we started by the Construction dock , we tried near the Meadowbrook Bridge but the current was too strong. Watch out for the underwire cables there or you'll lose a bunch of rigs there. I snagged the cable in 2 different spots near that bridge and I'm not drifting there again. Looks like the cables are new, the sand washed away or whatever. I drifted there for years and rarely had snags. Fished between 12 noon and 4 PM. Glad I got out and caught 2 Fluke for the year, haven't fished much this year and they were the first Fluke I caught.

Thanks for the report, blues were all over the place on the point lookout side over the weekend along with the dolphins. I stayed in the inlet due to the swells.
