Fluke Regs.

I personally think 4 isn't enough. I also think the size limit should be 18 inches..

Let's not forget, the coms are fishing a 14 inch limit.

Nothing irks me more than going in to a fish market and seeing their case full of all the fluke and c-bass we have to throw back....

Me too - and I've heard all the reasoning behind the different limits. Still sux though.

I don't mind the four fish reg I also do not freeze fish I like to catch and eat for dinner, so if I only get one or two keepers I am ok with it that means the wife and I are eating, I do share with my kids and granddaughter but if its only one or two mama & papa eat LOL .

Actually ate some weakfish from 2021 Wednesday night. I don;t ever freeze bluefish or striped bass (the one keeper I catch a year, lol) but weaks and fluke in a vaccuum sealer keep well. (But on a stringer off the yak those fish are still alive when I get home so there's that...) The yak makes me a bit of a conservationist as well, since on the south shore I scoot for home shortly after the wind picks up around 11ish, catching or not.

With just a month before the usual opening has anyone heard anything ?

Just a lot of bass to the west I did have the pup out for a walk and was walking past a local boat ramp there is some bait starting to show up I will try bass fishing next week in the State channel if the weather works out
