Flukes to 5.75 lbs 7/6-7/8

July 6

afternoon bite was slowed a bit by the end of the weekend boat traffic in the shallows. Nonetheless , we managed nice spurts of action and stayed out late into the dark and landed some quality keepers for the group.

July 7

good short action with some real quality keepers in the mix of 5,5.75 and a few around 4 pounds. They were chowing down in the dark once again.

July 8
Fished with my mate and captain in training my older son Joey.
only got out once with him this year and it was horrible fishing. That wasn’t the case this morning for a quick trip.

he got his 3 fish limit with a nice brace of 4.8 and 5.6 lb fluke to show up his dad.

I cleared the shorts and sea robins while he worked the light tackle to put some meat in the boat in the short time we were out.

Nice catch, Captain. There is nothing quite like getting schooled by your own kid. Better get used to it. My son is 34 now and he out-fishes me every time. Honestly, it is the best feeling in the world.
