Ok, so in Cod (Read it if you have not), the author explains that a toilet tank is the best device for re-hydrating dried cod for baccala, but I can't believe anyone would do it? Will anyone admit to it?

Ok this may sound weird BUT, When i was young living with my Gramps and Gram she use to make Baccala often. Yes with salted Cod. (Now the good part) We had an outhouse So she had to use an old wooden bucket because it would have corroded the wash tub that us kids had a bath in.

True story.
