When I was a little kid in Maine in the summer, there were always ducks coming near our boat. My dad would try to call to them with the most authentic duck call he could manage with his own mouth, to try to get them to call back.

I'm in Nursery school and we're doing animal sounds. The teacher asks: What sound does a duck make?"
I raise my hand and very proudly try to imitate the actual sound of a duck, as taught by my father, the best I could.
Everyone looked at me like I was retarded!
