I instantly forwarded to a friend who could owe me compensation.

Went salmon trolling with him on his boat years ago on Lake Michigan. I had a massive hit and suddenly there was a hefty steelhead greyhounding on the surface taking line and POOF, it was off. When I reeled in the line the fly was missing, but there was a "pig tail" curly cue on the end of the leader - BAD KNOT!!

I'll never let him live that one down as it was the only hit that evening.
