I had a better source. HS classmate's Dad was a Sargent in the local PD. We were out "minding our own business", yeah right, on "Mischief Night" when a pale blue Ford LTD with NJ "Mother Goose" plates quickly pulled up to us, and Sarge "G" popped out and asked, "You boys have enough eggs?" as he opened the back door to show us a car seat filled with eggs he had confiscated. "Go ahead, take what you need!!"
