If you check the history of gasoline prices at the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) website you can see that gasoline prices almost always rise between January and May. In fact, this happens about 90% of the time.

so you will get your 10 cents back soon ...meanwhile don't buY pick-ups if you can't afford gasoline HEHE!!

I personally don't care if it goes SKY HIGH....I will make more than what I lose at the pump

We export oil thanks to legislation 7 or so years ago thanks to "somebody"........the pipeline is a pipe job...Our gasoline is much cheaper than the other western developed countries.....we bareley touched 3.00 and are at the PEAK of the year and the $60,000 pick up crowd are crying.....like I said go put some dough in an energy fund if you think this is gonna blow the roof off......and why you calling me a whacko? was that the colt 45 talking? lol

C'mon Gene, you know you're stretching things there. Your statement is true, BUT a major factor for that is that which you didn't state is that we don't tax gasoline as heavily as other countries.

As a rule, even though we moan and piss about high taxes, we Americans really don't know what high taxes are. Live in Europe for a year or two and you're appreciate what we have. And yes, I'm a huge moaner and pisser about taxes, but at least I recognize how good we have it.

For the analysis below I just multiplied the price per liter by 4, didn't want to do the exact calculation to correct for the fact that 4 liters = 1.057 gallons.

Look at Canada, lots of oil, some refining capacity, but the price of gasoline is ~$4.80 (USD). I bet the COVID border closure is a boon for Canadian gas stations on the border, and a bust for ours on the border...

Norway, lots of oil, not sure about refineries, ~$8.00 per gallon

UK, good oil pumping, not sure about refineries, ~$7.20 per gallon

I could go on, but I've got better things to do...
