There is no switch to turn on.......huge investments have to be made and crude could be 10 bucks by that time. Look how crude has swung in the last two years....from "negative" to 115 a barrelThere's as much oil sitting under Texas and New Mexico as any other place in the world. Why are we begging Venezuela and Iran instead of engaging our oil drillers to see if they can make up the 3% from Russia?
Build all the windmills you want, you still need diesel for those combines harvesting corn and the trucks that bring the corn to market!
Are they driving costs?I heard today that when the price of oil was going up, when it was at what it is today gas was $3.69 a gallon
It doesn't take much to understand that the big oil companies are making ludicrous profits and are the ones driving the costs
They have been driving costs for MUCH longer than the current administration has been in power. Are they driving costs?
Or did they just react to the current administrations energy policy?
What's ludicrous is buying oil from governments we despise.
Made the trip home spending $635 in diesel fuel. Found a low price of $4.59 at a small truck stop in Ga. & a high of $5.58 on the Jersey Tpk. Found it strange, to me anyway, that the big nation wide truck stops had some of the highest prices along 95. Pulled up to a few pumps where the big rigs had been & saw over $600 on the pump. I have an app on my phone for fuel prices, but can't search around too much with the trailer, only to find a small station that we can't get in & out of. Anyway, home Sunday morning with what we like to call an uneventful trip.Left home New Year’s Day & spent about $475 in diesel fuel to get to Fla. I expect at least double that to get back to LI the end of March, just hoping that it’s available………John
