Gas prices 2019 and beyond

Wish this station was around here- I'd patronize them.

Brilliant - looming grain shortage due to the Ukrainian war.

And so Biden’s plan on inflation and high gas prices is to literally stick more of our food into gas tanks rather than on dinner plates. In fact, it’s counterproductive on its face as ethanol has less efficiency than gasoline for internal-combustion engines, which is one reason why the Clean Air Act prohibition on summer sales exists in the first place. (There are all sorts of issues with ozone and evaporation, too.) People will have to go to the pump more often on E15 than they would on regular gasoline. That increased demand will force prices up, likely eliminating any cost benefit to consumers sooner rather than later.

Apparently about 2,300 gas stations of the approx. 150,000 in the country are equipped to handle that blend.
It's a clown move, that's all.

The station can but carbs and gaskets don’t. What’s the average lawnmower last now 6 months? Every spring you hear them, rev up and then almost stall, repeat. Had to install a petcock on one motor. Gas kept fouling the float needle and seat and flooding the garage. How much until sta~bil doesn’t work?

Aren't boat engines very sensitive to this?

Crap, all the small motors, and any outboard, don't even "like" 10% Ethanol, and most small engines have clear DO NOT USE 15%!!! That $0.10 per gallon savings on the price of the gas, may certainly wreck far more financial damage in your engines...

I've been using Startron for years, but even that didn't work in cheapo weed whackers, was lucky to get more than 1 season out of them. When I splurged and got a Stihl one, I started using Stihl premixed canned gas for that, and generic premixed canned gas for all my small gas motors, chain saw, and leaf blower. No small motor ethanol issues now for 4 years. Really worth the extra $ since I use the chain saw maybe 5 times a year, but I know it's going to start right up and I'm not going to be

Last season I switched to ethanol-free for the boat, and the only things that now get 10% are the lawn mowers and snowblower, which are laced with copious amounts of Startron and stabilizer.
