Amazing day for our regular foursome today at Mill Pond.
We all broke 100 on this outstanding course which can be a challenge.

My good friends all were low 90’s setting personal records while realizing this is one of the tougher courses we play throughout the season Every year.

Great day.

I have to get out soon and get the rust off. One of my clients is getting back from Florida and the invites will follow.

Therin lies the similarity with fishing: Once you experience success, you want to repeat it over and over again! Even better when you share it with friends!

Congrats!

97 at Timber Point today.

When i break 100 I’m very pleased.

Putting and all parts of the short game saved the day, long off the tee but wide right off fairway.

Need a day when all elements are on and then I get low 90’s.

The breeze off the water was amazing.
This is my 69th year playing golf. I started when I was 7 years old. In all those 69 years, I can count exactly 2 times when every facet of my game worked. Once on West Sayville I shot and even par 72 - I needed a bird on 18 to do it. And one other time way back in the 1970's, I had a par 71 on Bethpage Black. Twice out of how many rounds in those 69 years. Now at 76 years old, I feel fortunate to still get around Holbrook in the high 80's - low 90's

You Sir should be very proud of those stats.
I certainly are impressed.

I was at West Sayville today and wildly excited to post a 96.
My putting was on and approach was assisting to that. Short putts.

my second and several tee shots were off fairway making things more difficult.
Its not easy but a good workout Love the exercise.

The BLACK is the only course at Bethpage where I haven't broken 80. The older I get, the further away that goal gets!

Thats what I find great about golf and fishing: Scores or numbers of fish don't define a successful day. For me, Its about keeping good company and sharing some laughs! The older I get, the more important that becomes.

So right, we come off the 18th hole and our faces hurt from laughing and joking around all day, its great.

West Sayville today.

96, big finish again ending with last three Boggie, Bird, Par, exactly same as last week.

Great day, lots of laughs and fun.

If I putted a bit better and stopped joking around, I probably could have broke 90 but would rather have more fun than making it serious for a better score.

Operative words “would rather have more fun” That was my philosophy when I had my boat, I could never compete with many of the Guys on this site, but me and my Buddies enjoyed ourselves and actually caught some fish. It was a day out on the water.
