Don't let the tranquil scene below mislead you. Today started off with the wind blowing like the Hammers of Hell and as of 01:16, we've been running on "Genny". It seems we're part of a pretty localized outage, not sure if that's good or bad in terms of getting our power back. Mud should be good, very few outages in his town.

The anemometer at the lighthouse is malfunctioning, showing 0.00 MPH winds all night, LOL. From the house shaking noise scale, I'd say we had some gusts around 50 MPH...

Lucky you. I just took a walk and counted 3 trees lying on the power line, and one on the fiberoptic/telephone line AND one toasted Transformer. I'm thinking Genny is going to be busy for at least 36 hours...

Good old Genny still on the job here no thanks to the incompetence of Central Maine Power. OK, power went down due to trees taking out a transformer at 01:16 yesterday. At 5:30 they knew of the outage along my street, but at 08:00 they thought we all had power. Called them and told them about the problem and suddenly, they thought I was the only one here without power, but it would be restored at 20:00 yesterday. Later in the day they realized that we're all without power, but it would be back at 23:00.
At 22:00 last night I checked on the website and they moved that power restoration time to 23:00 today. OK, not happy, but that's why I had a standby generator installed in the first place. This morning they're saying 20:00 today. If you think I'm betting on that, you sadly mistaken. At least I've got a propane delivery tomorrow so I'm not worried about how long the generator will be running...

Looks like the "Bedroom Cam" is back on line and pointing back at the lighthouse. I was hoping they didn't know the camera was set up wrong and we got to see some bedroom action, but it is in a seasonal cabin so no such luck...

Now they need to fix the anemometer at the weather station!!
