Happy Saturday NYA!! Hope everyone is weathering the storm which is supposed to hit here in a couple of hours. Unfortunately it's going to be a mostly rain event along the coast, but the Moosehead Lake area will probably get a foot of snow. Overnight, they've upped our snowfall to 3-6", but I'm not holding my breath, just searching for a sacrificial virgin for Poseidon to shift the center of the low 50 miles to the NW so we get clobbered with snow. Hope everyone has a great, healthy & safe day!!
Look, they put Christmas lights on the fence by the Keepers House out at the lighthouse, but still haven't fixed the anemometer. The barometer is on its way into the cellar though...
Happy Sunday NYA!! The Roccus is NOT AMUSED this AM, a slight coating of crusty snow is all we have to show for that storm, !!! When I went to bed they were saying 3-6", but hindsight is 20/20 and today's map shows us the very edge of the coast north of Portland with little to none...
No snowshoes in my future today, damn it!! It's especially disappointing since we had 2.4" of rain. Imagine the fun if that was all snow!!!
At least Genny only ran for like 15 min last night, but all of our friends who aren't in the direct neighborhood are without power. There was only one reception issue with the satellite dish last night. Fortunately the wind was blowing towards the back of the dish when the rain turned to snow so no build up on the business side of the dish.
Hope everyone has a great, healthy & safe day!!
Lighthouse got as much snow as we did at Chez Roccus, NOT ENOUGH!!!
