It's been a good start to the fishing season trolling mojos and bunker spoons in the western sound.
The vast majority of fish have been slot size, with a few overs and no unders.
I finally started to see some good bait markings in the bay, so I might switch to bait soon enough.
The bait I did see looked like large peanuts. We had that last year, which I don't understand, since peanuts usually show in late summer and are already this size by October. As far as I can remember, there were only adults this time of year, which is when they spawn.
