Our Mother's Day experiment was the manager's special. A two inch thick, two pound Top Round London Broil. Picked it for excellent marbling.

$8.00.

We froze it when we got it. Needed the microwave to thaw it because five hours on the counter didn't make a dent.

We un-chilled it and grilled it. Medium rare.

Seemed to come out okay:

Hopefully it doesn't chew like the outside of the steer.
