In my never-ending quest to simplify my life, I came across these stainless steel kitchen tongs - which I find are just perfecto for reaching into a smelly container of GULP! baits for that one color that will slay 'em on the next drift. Check them out:

The two larger-sizes are pictured above. I like the 9.5" size for this purpose, the 11.4" size will be relegated to my kitchen, for french fry picking and the like.
