For 2026, I decided not to "instruct" my American Colleagues on their misconceptions on what's really Irish and how we Americans have totally bastardized St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Do what you want to, but stay safe...

I'll just leave you with one thought, and a meme: While I lived in Ireland the crew from Chicago flew over to Dublin and dyed the Liffey River Green for St. Patrick's Day. They were not so politely told to NEVER COME BACK and do that again...

My Da was from West Meath…..when he came to America amd met his bride my mother she brought him home for a traditional Irish dinner of corn beef and cabbage, potatoes and Irish soda bread.
After dinner my Mother asked hi ‘how did you like it”?
He replied… ‘it was greatl what was it’?
