It's all about youth hunting, but what about all the Seniors who have to hunt in sub freezing temps and sometimes walk thru a foot of snow ? Young hunters can hunt during the regular season like everybody else, Senior citizens shouldn't risk a heart attack and hunt in winter conditions. Growing up, what got me interested in hunting was the whole hunting experience from driving upstate, staying in hotels, being around other hunters, seeing all the hunters on the highways. You hunt when nobody else is hunting you don't experience that. Now they have a Holiday Hunt planned for next December with Deer Hunting during Christmas Week.
My 87 year old father would like to hunt, but it's too cold and there's too much snow on the ground. A nice October hunt should be planned for Seniors, not healthy kids. Sorry !
