Pinhookers are barely making ends meet.........unless of course they have a pension to fall back on and are just doing it to pay expenses.

You think 25 blackfish is paying anyones mortgage?

When the fish stocks are fully recovered there won't be catch limits, maybe limit the number of them fishing. They'd supply restaurants and local markets that sell locally. Our fish shouldn't be shipped all over the globe to countries that depleted their fish. Get rid of the nets and 25 miles of hooks.

I think the number of pinhookers will decrease through attrition. Its a shame because I know of many young, enthusiastic fishermen that deserve a chance at a FFL.

Yes and no. Farm to table is all the rage so some younger guys might stick with it if they can earn a living. The old salts will probably decrease.
