I wrote a thread on the Traeger 575 Smoker on sale from $799 to $555 and I got !0% off that as a Veteran. I was looking for apple pellets online at Home Depot and holy smokes the normal price is around $20, they are on sale for $5/bag and the Traeger 575 Smoker is reduced again, now $480 plus as a Veteran 10% off that. I was able to get a refund of my first grill and got the second for $432. That's a great price on a really nice smoker and the price of the pellets is absurdly cheap. The only pellets on sale were the Traeger Apple Pellets.

Same type of experience when I bought a Weber Grill for a colleague from Costco, and the next week was $100 cheaper. I took my receipt and they gave me the $100.

Great call on the smoker!

FWIW, when HomeDepot no longer has the pellets on sale, Lowes has PitBoss brand Competition pellets on sale. 40 lb bag for $16.99. Not like $5 but still a great price. I have a good supply in the shed but I think I'll stock up now. It's easy to use a ton of pellets over the summer.

Unbelievable price on the Traeger Apple Pellets. $5.00 a bag and 10% off that for being a Vet is crazy good price. Now I have no excuse not to go fishing, I have to use up the five bags of Apple Pellets I bought. Now if only this wind will drop out. The boat is setup and ready to go codfishing on some of the local wrecks.

I might have to pull the trigger on this. Which home depot?
Snap. If you are going to do it, do it soon. There were two left at the Deer Park Home Depot yesterday and a friend said one at Bay Shore. Make sure you make them look. They are not on display. Also, they had a tag listing the price as $480 but it's actually $400. I have to say, I really like the way this smoker works. I went from never smoking, to absolutely delicious smoked foods on my first try. I have done four cooks and each have exceeded my expectations. My sixteen year old grandson, who is so into cooking and was actually chosen to be on Top Chef Jr. but declined during Covid rules for contestants, is turning into a smoking aficionado with his Traeger 575. He just did a pair of pork butts after his first cook of pork ribs. He's a very critical cook and he said they came out fantastic. What I like about the 575 is there control panel on the grill hopper. I have not seen this on the newer models. I could be wrong but I think that display has been removed.

Just checked, both stores have them. Also, you can pay for one and the ad says free delivery

This one?

Yea I started in the aisle, went out front then we ended up in garden section. Saw one assemblied and I wanted a box since I was solo and didn't bring my straps to tie down ao I didn't want to risk putting a complete one in my bed. It was sitting on a pallet on the floor not the rack like they were showing on thier machine.
